A groundbreaking production choreographed by two of China’s foremost avant-garde choreographers, it’s an artistic feast where martial arts intertwine with the grace and beauty of dance. This extraordinary fusion of theater, dance, and martial arts pays homage to the resilience and worth of ordinary individuals who embody unwavering ideals through the heroic story of one of the most famous kung fu masters, IP MAN.
Master IP, the protagonist and teacher of the legendary Bruce Lee, is a true hero. He hung the sign of the Wing Chun Hall, broke down barriers between martial arts academies, and spread his faith and precepts worldwide: “to aid the vulnerable with kung fu, to cultivate virtues through martial arts.”
Embodied by two elements of Chinese cultural heritage, Wing Chun martial arts and Xingyunsha silk, from which all costumes are made, the show is a cultural feast for the eyes and soul.
